Application qualifications

  • Foreign students whose parents are both foreigners
  • Foreigners who have completed academic curriculum equivalent to elementary, middle and high school education in South Korea pursuant to the laws related to education in the country of the applicant

    ※ Additional submission of documents proving the completion of the entire curriculum

  • Holders of multiple citizenship and stateless person are not eligible for application

Academic background and language requirements

Qualifications for new admission

1. A foreign student whose parents are both foreigners and who have graduated or are expected to graduate from high school either in Korea or overseas

2. Departments related to Physical Education and Arts: Above TOPIK Grade 3

3. All other departments: More than TOPIK Grade 4

Transfer Eligibility

1. A foreign student whose parents are both foreigners and who have completed 1 year (2 semesters) or 2 years (4 semesters) in a 4-year university either in Korea or overseas

2. A foreign student whose parents are both foreigners and who have graduated (or expected to graduate) from a 2-year or 3-year college in a 4-year university in Korea or overseas

  • An Application form (required to be printed after online registration)
  • The Entire transcript of elementary, middle and high school (Apostille or Consulate confirmation ) notarization required
  • (expected) High school graduation certificate (Apostille or Consulate confirmation ) notarization required
  • A Copy of passport notarization not required
  • A Copy of Alien Registration Certificate (only applicable to foreigners residing in Korea) notarization not required
  • Certified issued by a foreign government institute providing that the student and parents are foreigners notarization required
  • 1 original copy of Test of Proficiency in Korea (TOPIK) Grade 4 (above Grade 3 for Arts, Music and Physical Education division) certificate notarization not required

    English Track - Certificate of English Test Scores (if applicable)

    - TOEFL : 530 (CBT 197, IBT 71)

    - TEPS : 600

    - CEFR : B2

    - IELTS : 5.5

    (issued within 2years of the application date)

  • An Original copy proving financial capacity (issued within 30days of the application date)

    One of the following documents has to be submitted

    1. Overseas Bank Statement of above US $20,000 of the financial guarantor (student or parent) notarization not required

    2. A Certificate of bank transfer (currency exchange) to Korea of above US $20,000 notarization not required

    ※ Once the admission qualifications are satisfied, the documents are compulsory and as for documents required for visa, the International Affairs and Education department which is the department in charge may request for additional documents

  • Self-introduction personal statement
  • A Study plan of the major

※ Hand-written signature required from No. 9 to No. 10 after printing the form

  • 1 copy of document proving that you have completed university course, are studying in a university or have graduated (expected to graduate) notarization required
  • A University transcript (Apostille or Consulate confirmation )
  • A Copy of passport notarization not required
  • A Copy of Alien Registration Certificate ((only applicable to foreigners residing in Korea) notarization not required
  • Certified issued by a foreign government institute providing that the student and parents are foreigners notarization required
  • 1 original copy of Test of Proficiency in Korea (TOPIK) Grade 4 (above Grade 3 for Arts, Music and Physical Education division) certificate
  • An Original copy proving financial capacity (issued within 30days of the application date)

※ No. 11 to No. 13 is a procedure that needs to be written by hand after printing the form upon online application.

How the students are selected

  • Once the application form is submitted, the documents are reviewed to determine the eligibility for selection (Documents that require further confirmation other than the document submitted may be requested)
  • Screening process : 100% document review and study plan are used to determine if the student would be appropriate for the major (determined as appropriate or not appropriate)

Screening fee : KRW 70,000
