The Minister of Justice issues Visa Issuance Certificate following the application of the foreigner who wishs to enter the country or the invitee residing in Korea prior to the visa issuance by the Head of Diplomatic Mission Abroad, if deemed necessary.

Those who qualify for Artist (D-1), Students (D-2), Industrial trainee (D-3), General trainee (D-4), Journalism (D-5), Religion (D-6), Supervisor (D-7), Corporate investor (D-8), International trade (D-9), Professor (E-1), Foreign language instructor (E-2), Research (E-3), Technology transfer (E-4), Professional employment (E-5), Artistic performer (E-6), Designated activities (E-7), Non-professional employment (E-9), Crew employee (E-10), Visiting or joining family (F-1), Accompanying spouse (F-3), Miscellaneous (G-1) and Working visit (H-2)
3 . Others specially deemed to be required by the Minister of Justice

Visa refers to permission for entry into the destination country issued to the person who wish to travel overseas and is the act of confirming that the said person can enter the country concerned. Visa is compulsory when travelling overseas together with the passport and without Visa, entry to the country concerned is not allowed.
In case of entry with C-3-1 Visa: Can be converted to D-2
